Carlos' self-administration of an insulin shot prompts all kinds of questions from Pete about why Carlos has to take the shot, which develops into an explanation of diabetes. Entertaining but factual story of two friends, one of whom has insulin dependent diabetes. As he tells his friend about the condition, he provides valuable information to young readers which may lessen their alarm about diabetes and it's control.
