Short description

Making the final journey to The Stairs, to the old, rusted tower, Daniel hopes to end the line of the Watchers. Why were they coming there anyway? Now, with his father dead, it was finally over – or so he thought... Someone is stirring, deep underground and lost to memory and time. This was what the Watchers were meant to do: to wait for the ancient ones to emerge. Now Daniel must face them alone.

Interesting characters, fresh and interesting story line, action that makes sense (if a bit of a stretch on occasion), this book has it all, and is well written to boot! Were it not for a few misspelled words, this book would be as professional as any I have ever read.

All that said, and having only finished book one of (hopefully) two, I get the strong feeling that the author has a message written into this, and religion is the point. Not a deal breaker for me, but the undertones of the second coming make me pause just a bit on a great book!

Even so, I eagerly purchased the sequel, and am confident I will enjoy it as well!
