This is a contemporary Science Fiction Story following the adventures of Danny Day, Kirsty Black and C4 the android.
Following overcrowding on Earth, the dead are now stored as Memory Orbs on Saturn – 10mm crystal spheres that hold cerebral spinal fluid (CSF) plus a chip to hold memories; All overseen by UISA that has been created by the amalgamation of Soyuz and NASA. In this world, Ivan Samarovich has learnt to survive and look after himself by using his particular skill to remove those in his way with terminal force. Doctor Ivan Samarovich – inventor of the AIM unit- alternative to the Space Marine following the Xenoc Wars and the resultant terrible human losses; takes control of the ruling council in a one man coup following a malfunction of an AIM unit used at a sports ground, and the losses to civilian life that result from this. Little does the council know what his intention is ultimately to be?

Danny Day and Kirsty Black visit Kasia, their friend at Waystation on Saturn only to be caught in an attack planned by Ivan Samarovich to steal the Memory orbs that he needs to live off. As he is dying from a degenerative disease, the CSF will keep him alive! C4 is sent to Earth and safety, living with Professor Matthesson. Following a fire fight on the Waystation that costs the lives of many of the crew. Danny and Kirsty among others escape with Imogen Rae in her ship the Eclipse 34, happy to get away with their lives. Meeting at the Professors home in the Swiss Alps the friends meet up with C4 again. This meeting then leads to plans to lure the Doctor to Switzerland with aim being for revenge, and ultimately retribution. Unaware of his peril the doctor attends the party laid on, one that ultimately has been laid on for the benefit of his demise.
