Short description

we live life like that of a butterfly, fluttering about daily not always in control of the flight. searching for riches, sustenance and the ever elusive cherished love - the latter found in the most unlikely places.

Extended description

Gordon D Wilkinson, born July 1948 in Oxford, United Kingdom:

reading is one of the pastimes that serving in the british army in brunei, was one of the few things to do at night. poetry first surprised then engulfed my spare time, after being given a very tatty old book of rhyme. once the appetite was whetted there has never been anywhere in the world, that I have visited or worked, that at least one book of prose has had a home in my suitcase.

writing poetry my-self did not come until much later when I started to dabble with prose, posting some to an online social site. here with encouragement from friends the bug really bit deep, consuming nearly every minute of spare time. putting emotions into words, expressing thoughts on amusing incidents with some outspoken words on anything that I feel needs to be exposed is my goal.

Wow... A very though provoking book of poetry. It is as though with each turn of the page, Gordon is saying something that you have been feeling, thinking, or even attempting to say yourself. Great book for the coffee table.. I did not want to stop reading it. I really liked "Love is Not", Lost in Life", and How do you say Sorry" to pick a few. Now I have found a new author to read. Outstanding..

Such an inspired anthology of the most amazing (beyond amazing) poetry - sometimes heart-rending,sometimes joyful; always filled with the beauty or the agony of life.
Butterfly oh Butterfly is Wonderful oh Wonderful.
If you read this anthology from cover to cover and back again, you'll find yourself doing it over and over again. It's a spell-binding book you could so easily become obsessed with. Fantastic oh Fantastic, Gordon. You've made a fan for life. You should be making thousands of fans for life via 'Butterfly'. All the best, Mr Poet, Sir.
