Extended description

There was no witness protection program in the late 1950’s, but there were those who certainly needed protection. “Limelight” is the story about just such a situation. It is also the story of performing arts and efforts to bring music and the theatre to a community. No story would be complete without romance, and there is romance in “Limelight”. “Limelight” takes place in the American Mid-West in 1958 when the nation was ramping up its economy out of a recession. The country was ready for a swing into the restless 60’s. This short story begins in a Wisconsin national forest made dangerous and exciting by a deadly criminal element bent on murder. The story produces characters who, surprisingly, possess needed professional talent. It then cascades into a free-wheeling performing arts centerpiece. The surprising ending may leave you breathless, perhaps even tearful.
