The book should have been titled the Open Life of Jon and the Secret Life of Kate and Those Who Covered It. It did give the reader an inside look at the way celebrities cut deals with the paps to give them their daily routine in exchange for not going after the heavy stuff. Jon's life has been an open book - it is Kate who is secretive. One could assume that she has made the same deal as Jon - here is my daily schedule feel free to photograph me as I go about my daily routine but don't follow me to my secret hideway, and most importantly, do not divulge that I am not alone. It seems like it was put together rather quickly, by going after Jon who is a soft target. One gets the feeling of a bit of overkill in that regard. I do feel that as part of your research had you watched the shows from the beginning to the present you might have lightened up on Jon. It is clear to see that Jon was the primary caregiver for all the kids and deserves an olive branch for being naive and ill-prepared when he was forced out into the world of celebrity, on his own for what may have been the first time in his life. But it was not bad. I read it. I would give it 2-1/2 stars primarily for going after Jon and giving a Kate yet again another free ride.

I found the book to be interesting. Not hard to read at all. I learned some new things about the train wreck family. The only problem is the potty training scene took place at the Gosselins, at Jodi's not one child was seen on the potty at all, Jodi blocked the camera. It is all on tape. Other than that, interesting read. thanks

I found this difficult to follow and rather boring, not to mention sloppy due to "typos". There was also unnecessary offensive language.
