About Linda Sacco

I have worked as a freelance writer for Australian magazines and now I write ebooks on my favourite topic: pets. Pets have always been a big part of my life. Through research, interviews with breeders and my own pet keeping experiences, the Which is Your Perfect Pet? series provides readers with all they need to know to match their lifestyle to a specific breed of dog, cat, bird or other animal friend. I plan to publish a new title in this series each year.

As a reader, I gravitate towards the fantasy genre. My favourite novels are Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt and FernGully by Diana Young. What I love about the genre is that everyone has an idea of what a werewolf, vampire or fairy is, but then it is up to the author to add their own spin. This led me to a question: what was originally believed about these fantasy figures and how has this been reinterpreted by contemporary authors and filmmakers? The myths, history and origins of 10 fantasy figures are explored and compared with interpretations from movies, TV and books in my ebook Fantasy: Myths and Media.
