A very different plot line with an almost horror feel at times. Scene changes are a little abrupt - I think it is due to missing breaks in the e-pub format (a common problem in e-pub, I notice). If you are looking for something different in urban fantasy, this is it.

This book brought me 'in' and hooked me in the first chapter and compelled me to continue reading. I enjoy trying to figuring out where a story is going to take me. I was constantly surprised by the author's ability to weave out of my line of thinking and go in a completely different direction that then made complete sense. The book is well written with wonderfully rich characters and descriptions so vivid they can make you shudder. I look forward to the sequel.
