Dear sciatics, we are a solemn brotherhood. We walk among you with an invisible ailment, unless you walk with a cane (more on that later). There are no bandages, no cast. Nothing reveals your situation, except for an overall expression of a lack of joy, suffering facial grimaces and a constant dread of coughing, sneezing and worst of all: sitting!
Most people are not familiar with the sciatic nerve. Never heard of it. Here and there, the term ‘slipped disc’ is known – but not the repercussions”.
