Corrections Officer Mike McClintock, the newbie at the prison, fresh out of the academy, finds himself inside a state penitentiary, caught up in the gossip, battles and claustrophobia of being locked inside a level two California state prison.

Loved this book!

GA Hauser's stories can be a hit or miss for me and this one's definitely a hit! Strong characters, intense storyline, but without too much unnecessary prolonged angst (I'm for one happy how fast Mike's dealt with Carlos, for example).

Long, hot and very enjoyable read!
