Pelgraff

Rated 5.00/5 based on 1 reviews
Humans and the gorilla-like Pagayans lived in peace on the planet Pelgraff until the Damargs arrived. Now civil war has erupted.

Alan McLean, bitter ex-New Brittain police officer, accepts an offer to help train the men of an Interplanetary Brigade going there to fight. He finds himself drawn into the conflict even as politics makes the prospect of eventual victory increasingly unlikely.

This is the best Boulter book I've read. It's set in the distant future of the story Courtesan, involving the Yrden family again, though the lead character is a resident of the planet New Britain. The politics of peace at any cost sets the tone for this story, I can't recommend it highly enough.
