Dennis Weiser’s articles, poems and stories have appeared in Chouteau Review, New Letters, Abramelin: The Journal of Poetry and Magick, p.r.n., Thorny Locust, Literary Juice, The Sixth Surface: Steven Holl Lights the Nelson-Atkins Museum,and several anthologies from Outrider Press. A flash fiction excerpt from "Life's a Wonderful It" appears in DIRTY:DIRTY the art of Mugi Takei (Jaded Ibis Press 2012). He has given readings at Duff’s Irish Pub and Venice Café in St. Louis, The K.C. Literary Festival, Barnes & Noble, Prospero’s Books and The World Longest Poetry Reading in Kansas City. Former regular columnist for The Kansas City Business Journal and book reviewer for NPR affiliate KCUR-FM in Kansas City, Missouri, he is currently writing his third novel, a mystery thriller set against the backdrop of Dutch colonial exploitation of Java in 1879. He is a member of the Academy of American Poets.
