About Roslyn Hardy Holcomb

I grew up in a small north Alabama town and lived in that area most of my life, except for brief stints in larger cities. Though now living in a suburb of Atlanta, I'll always be an Alabama girl at heart! I've worked in both publishing and finance, but most of my career was spent in the social service field. Currently I'm a stay at home mama to two young sons.

I cannot say enough good things about this e-book. It is awesome advice for women of any age, no matter what her relationship status. It is direct and right to the point. As a female who has been through many rounds in the ring, I cannot recommend this book enough. I think this is a must read for younger women--it may well prevent them from future landmines. :) I don't believe the author is against men--she just says it how it really is and helped those of us who never quite 'got it'-referring to logic, I mean.:) I jotted down your famous quote from the book--it is so true--and something to post on the fridge for a daily reminder. Thanks for a great book!

This is an excellent book filled with wisdom Roslyn. I found myself thinking that had I read this book prior to my previous relationship, I would have saved myself a lot of heartache. I think if you could format the book properly, and give it a more appealing cover, you'll be able to sell it; and it will sell a lot because it contains valuable content. Great stuff!

There were some real nuggets of wisdom to this book. But there were other parts that I felt came across more as though the author is very cynical toward men. In one of the lessons, the impression I came away with was that, to hear her tell it, all men want sex, all men will do anything to get sex, and that any man who merely breathes in a woman's direction is hoping to get laid. I think that might be a bit of an over the top way of looking at men, and I wonder if that is really how the author sees them.

But, as I said, there are some real nuggets of wisdom. The idea of choosing an honorable man, of remembering that men are basically simple creatures without a whole lot of subtext, and that a man who wants to marry you will marry you - those are all great. Those are all things women need to know and should remember, and I know I certainly will.

I was completely blown away by "Free Lesson #10: Don't Take Relationship Advice From Men," only because I've always felt like a cynic for feeling the exact same way. The author should seriously consider putting together a seminar on this e-book because most of the women who desperately need the information in this e-book don't know what e-books are.
