Selfish and solitary, he's hired by a humanitarian billionaire to overthrow a small African nation. He soon puts the wheels in motion by hiring a crew, purchasing weapons and equipment, and getting to know the country on his way to the significant payday.

Meanwhile, Jasmine Needham finds herself investigating a murder in Los Angeles. It looks like an open-and-shut case but why does McSweeney's name keeps popping up? The Homeland Security special agent is as ambitious as she's beautiful and she's determined to track him down.

But before long she discovers that McSweeney and her may be unwittingly part of a conspiracy which could bring the world crashing down...
