There is the matter of Holly becoming “locked-in” her body following a car
accident. There is the matter of Adam becoming attracted to her in this vegetative state. Yu James, a Chinese-Canadian tai chi teacher who helps Holly regain her health is on a religious mission and his plans include Holly. Sammy, a horny businessman, has plans of a different sort for her.

On top of all this, enter the Writer, an all-round shit disturber who injects himself into the plotlines to tell tales, “spill the beans”, kibitz, criticize, magnify, distort, obfuscate, and generally muddy (although sometimes greatly clarifying) the waters.
