Picking up immediately after the traumatic, dramatic ending of Cornerstone, Keystone takes the unique world author Misty Provencher built to a whole new level.

I'm finding it impossible to say everything I want about Keystone without revealing too much or spoiling Cornerstone. Where the story in Cornerstone was about the revelation of this secret society and the relationship between Nalena and Garrett, Keystone is mostly action. Nalena is tasked with a huge mission, one that's personal to her, and is filled with physical consequences and emotional impact. Keystone does not fall into the stagnant storyline scenario that a lot of second books in a series seem to land in, the story is continuously moving the characters forward.

We still have the pleasure of the Garrett and Nalena's love story, though, and I have to say, their relationship is pretty spectacular. Everytime I (and okay, Nalena, too) think this sweet, sensitive boy can't be any more perfect, one warm glance or melting smile, written to brilliant, heart-stopping detail by Provencher, reduced me to a simpering pile of swoon.

Keystone, like Cornerstone, has a great secondary cast. The Reeses, though more subdued, were still a delight. Little brothers Brandon and Mark were perfect for comic relief. As is the Addo and Zane. Zaneena, Robin, Milo, and Deeta were more characters that were introduced, and each helped make the story feel alive.

Keystone was a fantastic follow-up to Cornerstone. The story alternately broke and filled my heart. Misty Provencher has such a gift for words that strike me with their simple, beautiful impact. I am completely in love with the Cornerstone series and can't wait for the next installment.

The world I just signed on for is crumbling as I stand on its threshold. Everything is changing and it seems like this is all my fault.

I just love this book and everything in it. From cover to cover it is packed with romance, suspense, and a lot of action. It’s sad, it’s funny, it’s everything you could want in a book. Not to mention Misty is one flippin’ fantastic storyteller. She writes well and it shows in her work. Plus every now and then you get a glimpse into who Misty is as a person through her work. When you read a funny part in her book…that is the real Misty. She is silly and crazy and it shows in her books.

When starting the book, I was bombarded with so much emotion. It has been nearly a year since I read Cornerstone, and I am embarrassed to say I forgot a few things that happened at the end. So yeah it is a little overwhelming to be reminded of everything that went down. And everyone involved had no time to mourn those that they lost. It was definitely a sad beginning for an awesome book.

I wholeheartedly love these characters and so was so glad to be able to revisit with them again. I missed them, I really did. Especially Garrett. Oh my sweet Garrett, he was even better in this one. Misty also gave us some new characters to love and hate. Take for instance Zane, he was a complete hoot and you can’t help but love him. The things that come out of that skinny boy’s mouth had me rolling the whole time, even in the most stressful of times. Then take for instance his twin sister Zaneen, yup didn’t care much for her. I wanted to like her and at times I did. But I am just not 100% sure about her yet.

Keystone is not your normal everyday supernatural/paranormal. I mean I am not even sure I could classify it as one of those. But it is different and refreshing to read compared to a lot of the other stuff out there. What do you get when you buy Keystone? Well you get an excellent read that is action packed and fast paced. Does it have romance? Absolutely…even though I found it is not the main focus of the story. But it has enough to keep your heart happy. Does it have a cliffhanger? Well yeah…but it is a good one. I know I was beaming with happiness when all was said and done. So don’t delay…go get it today!!

One of my fav quotes about Garrett: Garrett’s kiss has never been any less than amazing, but this kiss is even more. This kiss is the sun, opening inside me.
Le sigh

Wow, I wasn't disappointed at all! Loved the twists, turns and Nali rocks. In an age of feeble women main characters she's tough, but you know she still has doubts. Can't wait for the next one, keep them coming!
