good read. kept my attention, but felt unfinished. abrupt, unexplained ending didn't make sense.

I really like this story, but maybe my perspective is skewed by that affair I had a couple of years ago. I found myself wondering how the confrontation in the opening scene came about, but not so intensely that I couldn't enjoy the gritty taste of it in my mouth.
