Loved it! Great twist on an old theme and wonderfully humorous and powerful descriptions of the weather. Very effective. The reflection on reality towards the end of the story reminded me of how important it is to live mindfully.
Looking forward to getting into Shen!

Nice idea for a story. Prose was fairly crisp and clear, and there was some good, understated irony. Would have given it four stars, but I think the story could be improved by a careful comb for little typos (we're all guilty of that though, right? I know I am! ;-) ). Worth reading.
