About Lorena Laurenti

Lorena Laurenti was born a few decades ago in a little town between Italy and Slovenia. Since her childhood, she understood that in her future there would have been the art of drawing. She started from kindergarten, when she took shelter in papers and pastels in order to hide from the other children. During primary schools started her “mental disorders” and her first imaginary friend appeared: a female cat in human shape, six feet tall. Maybe, that was the moment she started to fancy on the existence of other worlds. Years went by, through her bicycle/horse, the incessant desire of flying (that induced her in odd deadly-like tries) and afternoons spent in watching magical girls on television.
Fascinated by sirens, fairies and children that never grow up, she enrolled in a school of art, where she let out her creativity.
It was just in those years that, carried by the excitement about manga and anime, Saira came to life, whose portraits stood out in every corner of her book and notebooks.
Firmly believing in becoming a professional mangaka in the future (…and let’s face it, starting to give the first derangements linked to the “japanase-addicted” world), she continued to train night and day in the noble art of drawing.
After the first working and love disappointments, she moved in the pleasant province of Treviso, where she put aside free-hand drawing for graphic design, and launched herself into the “magic” universe of work.
As years went by, TRI was becoming a recurring thought and around the 2010, between theater’s lessons, creative writing and holistic seminars, the book started to take shape. Through these initial attempts, started as a game, the passion for writing came to life, growing through the time until today…
“With false modesty I can claim I am a sincere, solar, resourceful, shy, childish, lunatic, dull, greedy, liar, open minded, slightly schizophrenic, gentle, quiet, normal, introvert, exalted, susceptible, cruel, nervous, mature, distant, revengeful, passionate, closed, lazy, outgoing, crazy person… and maybe something more. In every character I describe there’s something of all this and a little of me…just picture the result!”
