Description

Silent Thunder; a story based on an actual operation. Hostages were taken by terrorists and America was given a five day deadline to give in to their demands: unseat President Marcos or the hostages would be brutally murdered. Patrick Henry, the son of a powerful Senator, would be the first to die. Rather than give in, America sent in its best to try to do the impossible.

This book is fantastic. It makes you think that he knew what our current administration is going to look like if unchecked. The story was excellent! It kept me spellbound throughout. The people were real, and ones you could identify with. The situation all too human. While the Philippine communist were the bad guys, the fact that the Muslims were almost as much victims as the kidnapped people leant a great deal of realism and credibility to the story. The attention to minimizing collateral damage was a great side story in itself. BUT there were some problems with it. The one problem that really ticked me off was the story was too short! There were some grammatical errors that interrupted the flow but not many.
I wanted more! More back story, more story! The author did a great job on his first book, but he needed to give us more. When is the next story from this guy? I would love to read more of his work.
