About Jennifer Filmer

Jennifer lives in Australia on a farm with her husband. The farm is nestled between the Murrumbidgee River and the Clear Range Mountains. Every morning groups of kangaroos gather on the front lawn to be feed before the day begins.
Bushfires are part of the way of life in Australia. Jennifer developed a practical, skills based firefighting strategy for women when she realized many women were coming to rural communities without the traditional farming background. She received an Order of Australia for this work.
After the tragic loss of life in 2009 to bushfires Jennifer and her husband Peter turned the program for rural women into a book available to all Australians. In 2012 this book has been turned into an eBook for worldwide publication.
Bushfires know no language and the skills people require to survive bushfires are based on the science of fire and human behavior. Corporations now realize the impact of natural disasters on their workforce and request Jennifer and Peter to speak to and prepare their workforce for bushfires, hoping to reduce the economic loss natural disasters bring to organizations as well as people.
Jennifer is committed to inform people that it is their knowledge that will allow them to survive bushfire both physically and mentally. Read her book today and put yourself, your family and your pets on the side of having the best outcome if you are faced with wildfire this summer.
