Slow burn.

Azor agreed to take Brandy off planet to avoid a scandal, never knowing they’d ignite a white hot passion of their own. Sassy, sexy, Brandy makes him burn. If the hostile aliens don’t kill him, his companion just might.

About Autumn Dawn

Autumn is a professional writer and stay at home mom with three kids, a dog and an active imagination. She’s married to her high school sweetheart, John, who is known to bring her flowers "just because".

After 34 years in Alaska, she moved to Washington with her family to enjoy a state with actual seasons.

She started self-publishing in 2010 after a string of rejections that read, “We love your writing, but we’re not sure how to market it.” She published on Smashwords, Amazon and Barnes & Noble, which lead to a number of bestsellers. After The Charmer hit #1 on Barnes & Noble for fantasy romance, she threw herself into editing and uploading her backlist.

The next year and a half passed in a blur as she worked non-stop, and productivity declined as she took time to homeschool her autistic son, who was suffering from bullying issues. With boxing lessons and a year to boost his confidence and academic skills, he’s now doing well in mainstream high school.

The strain of maintaining a business and home schooling while taking care of her family was draining, but God blessed her efforts and the results were worth it. Her income for 2011 was $100,000, far exceeding her best year with traditional publishing.

In 2012, Amazon acquired Dorchester books and Autumn gave Amazon the right to publish two of her Spark Series books, When Sparks Fly and No Words Alone, believing that diversification is good business.

While Autumn is grateful for the opportunities traditional publishing provided, she remains passionate about self-publishing. Keep an eye on her blog for news about upcoming books!

This was a good ending to the series... I was a bit leary at first because I found Brandy kind of annoying in the other books but I liked her more in this book. Good read! :)

Nice book, same quality as the other of this series. I loved it. I always love the male characters more than the female ones. They are always so strong and silent... difficult to find in real life

I loved it - I'm a SFR fan and this did not disappoint. It is an excellent ending to a series I've really enjoyed - it has the same appeal as the two previous books. It has the same strong heroine/enigmatic [but determined] hero matchup with the requisite fireworks but with more than enough differences to make them stand out in your mind.

The heroine is the middle Harrisdaughter, Brandy - referred to in No Words Alone, and a major supporting character in When Sparks Fly. The hero is Azor, another major supporting character from When Sparks Fly. He is also a shape-shifter and cop who uses his abilities as part his undercover work.

The world-building for the series is dense and consistent with a strong plot that kept me going. Brandy has become involved in another scandal and is [eventually] talked into going to visit sister Xera who is married to an alien [No Words Alone] 8 months away. But there are things she doesn't know. Like she's being targeted by a shape-shifting assassin, like she's been fed psychotropic drugs which are giving her hallucinations, like she's being escorted by Azor who seems bent on marrying her [and doesn't mind seducing her to get her agreement], like the infection that is killing her...
