Joan Barbara Simon (Ph.D.) writes historical fiction and experimental adult fiction. Her experimental romance, Mut@tus (2009), was shortlisted for the Eight Cuts Gallery Prize. Her historical fiction, Long Time Walk on Water (2009), has been described as 'a reggae-type experience full of pride, poise & grace' (Goodreads).
Joan's latest experimental novel - Verses Nature - has been called compulsive repulsive reading, and features two addictive protagonists who don't play according to the rules: Tatar ('after three thousand women, I stopped counting...') and Carmina ('he fascinates and disgusts me. Fascination won.'). Are you ready to go beyond erotica?
'I've been called a literary terrorist. I rather like that. I've also been called a woman with a dick. I like that even more.'
Joan lives in Luxembourg and is putting the final touches to her Ph.D. in Creative and Critical Writing. After that, she'll need a break, but she promises to be back and just as daring.
