And a Thousand Ghosts Were Stirred (The Guy in the Shades Collection, Volume 1)

1 star1 star1 star Adult
This is a story about Jake and Julia. It’s a twisted tale of how compassion and indifference rarely traverse the same path in life, but once that course becomes a means of access, the ensuing karma can shape the lives of the innocent for years.

In this case, the forcible accumulation of loneliness can provoke one’s indiscriminate disbursing of it on the blameless.

About Joe H. Bell, Jr

I was asked recently, why do you write? My response … I write because I remember.

Those memories are all that I have of a family departed. I remember the enjoyable times, those that were appalling, along with the occasional sprinkle of contentment.

We all struggle with inner demons, sometimes on a daily basis and some have fought these battles for decades … that would be me. I bestowed unsullied trust upon those deemed worthy, yet they knew not the treasure, and this propelled me into oblivion for years.

In the end, I’m my happiest when I’m writing as it is my chosen weapon against my enemies within. "The pen is mightier than the sword" is somewhat of a proverb coined by English author Edward Bulwer-Lytton in 1839. Indeed … it is.
