As a sci-fi fan from waaay back, i can be a bit of a tough critic; I have to say this book pleasantly suprised me with it's suprising plot, dimentional characters, and energized pace. Looking forward to the next 2 and hopefully more from this talented author. Well done!

Okay, this is going to sound like a lot of hyperbole, but I simply could not put my Nook down until I finished this book. Mr. Gerrard has created a wonderful cast of characters, and if you don't find yourself cheering for their triumphs and crying for their losses, I'd suggest you need a heart transplant.
I am *anxiously* awaiting the next volume in the series.
