This is a wonderful short story that will take you on an emotional roller coaster in a good way. The author takes you on a journey that touches on loss, abuse, love, loneliness, fear, hope, despair, happiness, and more. Not an easy feat in less than 75 pages, yet it's done beautifully in this story.

The reader quickly gets pulled into the story and feels as if they know the main character, Lucy, personally. She is charming and polite, nice to everyone yet harbors a secret that she hides from the world. I won't give the story away because you should read it for yourself (you will be glad you did) but she is a character you care about in a short amount of time and will likely find yourself cheering for.

I would recommend this book to pretty much anyone who likes stories that are not super long but are to the point, very well written, and capture your attention causing you to keep reading until it's done right from the start. I really enjoyed this book and think that there is a good chance many others will as well.
