Valentin Matcas, M.Ed. is a Physicist, a Mathematician and an Educator, currently engaged in writing fiction and nonfiction.
A graduate of major Universities in the US and Canada, Valentin Matcas taught Physics to university students from the US, while majoring in both Physics and Mathematics, and working on research projects in mathematical models in Physics and Mathematics.
Valentin Matcas taught Mathematics and English as a Second Language to university students from Europe, and later on, he taught Science and Mathematics in various provinces in Canada, always interested in learning from the diverse cultures he encountered, always eager to spread his knowledge. Valentin Matcas created mathematical models in Psychology, Physics and Sociology, his most interesting results being the Modes of Life, detailed human needs, lifestyles, mathematical models for the conscious and subconscious mind, social classes, human status, etc.
As a Nonfiction writer, Valentin Matcas is interested in applying his research in books, creating a comprehensive model for the human condition, from all perspectives: behavioral, cognitive, biological, social, parapsychological and metaphysical. Valentin Matcas invites his readers to reason continuously throughout his books, towards understanding themselves and the world they create, on all levels of existence. Valentin Matcas takes his writings further, to capture the essence of Life herself in all spheres of existence, lower and higher, unveiling a wider presence in a wider, comprehensive world. As an enthusiast of Science Fiction, Valentin Matcas writes about terrestrial and alien civilizations, about life in the Universe, the way it develops and intertwines across galaxies, about powerful beings, the way they control and reshape the Universe the way they please, and about normal human beings from Earth, caught in this beautiful, interesting, wider existence. Valentin Matcas creates a living, warmer, credible Universe that is teaming with life on all levels. Valentin Matcas wrote ‘The Holly One’ series, including ‘The Holly One’ and ‘Starship Colonial.’ He currently works on his book series called ‘Unlimited.’
When he is not writing, Valentin Matcas enjoys hiking on the beautiful trails of Quebec, swimming, skiing, riding his bike, reading good books, listening to good classical music, and playing god strategy video games.
