Kirimi And Mwiti are 6 year old twins who currently live in Africa. They are real. This book series takes readers through the twins' everyday lives. The series seeks to bridge the information gap for children who have never been to Africa and the reality of an African child’s life. While situations vary, the issues that affect the twins affect most of the children across Africa. There is also the fun side, the discovery side and plain basic growing up as a child. Some children in Africa are luckier than the twins. Others are not. While the world moves on, there are instances where the information gap has helped African children. However, there are social issues which have impacted very negatively on them too. This series cannot exhaust a fraction of what is happening. In telling the story of the twins, the idea is for children elsewhere to know that there are a lot of fun and pleasant things to laugh about from children living in Africa.

In Book 2, you Meet the Twins. The contrast between a 6 year old who knows that he is privileged to live in a house where there is clean running water, electricity and a toilet that flushes, a child who also plays Blasterball 3 and Tony Hawks Pro Skater is not accidental, for such is the life of the twins.

Book Three talks about Kirimi and Mwiti's relationship. In Book 4, Mwiti has a Secret.

In Book 5, the twins take a walk with David. Other children join them. David takes the boys beyond the ridge, a place where the boys are afraid to go.
