About Real Laplaine

As a young boy I was glued to the television as Apollo 11 landed on the moon – it was, for me, the most relevant and far-reaching achievement, collectively speaking, of the times and I was thrilled at the prospect of stepping off Earth. After that, I was determined to become an astronaut and scout worlds far beyond our own. While attending school, I worked and paid for my own flying lessons - and soared like a bird – making me realize that the heavens could be reached. Today I write, and I am still aiming for those stars and hopefully, through my books, imbue readers with visions of their own dreams coming true. I am a consummate believer that we make our own lives, that we control our destiny and that we can and will make it back to the stars.

Buffalo Kid - a story about falling and rebounding
The Buffalo Kid is fictional realism, a story inspired by real people. An elderly homeless man, forgotten and destitute, meets a stranger from another world. The two strike up a bond and the alien visitor helps the Kid rebound, giving him a second chance at life. The thrill ride which ensues proves that anyone can fall, but what counts is standing up for what matters in life.
