Timothy Mallborn is the autobiography of a boy who disappeared in Toronto's largest shopping mall. After discovering that no one can see him, Timothy fashions a home for himself in the children's section of a department store, tries to communicate with the crowds of people passing all around him and falls in love. Growing up is hard, but it's even harder when you're invisible.

About Matthew Lie - Paehlke

Matthew Lie – Paehlke was born on a farm near Mathers Corners. He was a nicens little boy and his first word was ‘cows.’ Thankfully he was able to escape this idyllic gulag, because these days his idea of heaven is a Tokyo-sized Toronto.

Matthew graduated from U.T.S. in 1998 and migrated a few blocks south in order to weave together an undergraduate degree in Semiotics, Religion and Philosophy at the University of Toronto. He spent one fantastic year teaching English in Japan and since then he has worked in the public library, as a breakdancing instructor and, more recently, as a software tester. In 2005, he completed the Humber College Correspondence Program in Creative Writing, studying under Karen Connelly. He recently completely a Masters in Adult Education and Community Development at O.I.S.E.
