After not being able to put down Phoenix Rising, the thought of continuing the long journey of Jim and Nic was a no brainer. As with the first book, Ayers writing style drew me back deep into the mojave desert. Following the multiple story lines was like watching a very well edited movie, helping you immerse deeper into the story line and becoming more empathetic for the plight of the characters. I'm definitely waiting for the possible 3rd book in the series.
