“Holy smokes!” he exclaimed. “I’ve read about that, too, but figured the women were crazy or something because they convinced themselves of their own pregnancy, even though they weren’t. But you aren’t crazy.”

“I hope not! But here’s the problem. My breasts are so full of milk that I’m constantly sore. It’s hard to sleep.” It was all an exaggeration, but he bought it.

“Wow.” He shook his head. “This is intense. But how can you be that full? Most women who lactate without getting pregnant only produce a little bit of milk.” Suddenly he looked uncomfortable admitting such knowledge. “At least, that’s what that one article said.”

It was the opening I had been waiting for. “Here, see for yourself.” With an inward smile, I pulled off my shirt and unhooked my bra as Thad sat in stunned amazement. Before he could react, I jumped off the bed and sat in his lap, thrusting my chest right in his face.
