Extended description

Lady Helen Montgomery swears off love, when the Duke of Somerset turns around and marries another after he had actively pursued her, betraying Helen’s trust in true love. After returning to her ancestral home to lick her wounds, Helen spends time with her beloved nieces and nephews and decides she wants children of her own.
At a lavish ball, Helen meets Matthew Cunningham, the Earl of Collingswood and sparks fly. Lady Helen agrees to a marriage of convenience, so she can become a mother.

Helen arrives at Collingswood Hall to find a run-down disheveled estate, his twin daughters out of control and Matthew’s devilish brother and hellion sister giving Helen all kinds of mayhem to deal with. Not to mention a vengeful former mistress determined to kill Helen!

One thing Helen had not anticipated was the passion that sizzles between her and Matthew. Can she dare risk her heart again? Can Matthew break through the shield that guards her heart?

Whilst the premise is good, the writing is stilted and dry and the dialogue between the characters is awkward.
