This is a creative work of fiction consisting of ten chapters, each of which is a narrative by a "nobody" who worked for otherwise served a "somebody"--a famous or well-known person in history. The "somebodies" include Shakespeare, Anne Bonny, Davy Crockett, General Custer, Lewis Carroll, President Taft, Gertrude Stein and Alice B. Toklas, Marilyn Monroe, Vince Lombardi, and Meyer Lansky. About Martin Drapkin

I am a fiction writer and have published two books: "Ten Nobodies (and their somebodies)" in 2011 and "Now and at the Hour" in 2009. I am currently working on two more works of fiction. I am also a fine arts photographer and have been doing a long-term project of black-and-white portraits of mothers and daughters. I have had several exhibits and hope to do a book of photos. I am retired from a long career as a trainer with the Wisconsin Dept. of Justice. My wife, Erica, and I live in Cross Plains, Wisconsin. I have an adult daughter who lives in Seattle and one grandson.
