Therefore, the person can best select the right medicine and feel if the medicine is working. One avoids standing in queue at the doctor's chamber which often takes the better part of the day.

Homeopathy is the last resort for patients who are declared in curable by allopathic doctors. It is also most effective in dealing with joint problems like arthritis and rheumatism. It is also most useful for treating problems of the aged, women and children.

This book is not a text book of Homeopathy. It is a manual for prevention, first aid and self medication till a serious patient can access expert medical treatment. It is also a manual for self medication for minor or unusual problems which do not always respond to allopathic treatment. It is also a manual for self medication for those who cannot afford allopathic treatment or where the doctor says that the patient is incurable. The book is particularly useful for those who do not have easy access to allopathic doctors or hospitals because of their location in remote areas, because they are traveling or simply because they cannot afford allopathic treatment. It is especially useful for women who have problems with menstruation or menopause. It is especially useful for families with elderly members who have problems which are common to the aged.

Very helpful to those who live in rural settings, but also helpful to all of us. In our rushed lives, we forget that there were all sorts of "home" remedies which cured myriad ailments. This book serves as a reminder.
