Room Four

Rated 4.00/5 based on 1 reviews

Can he survive a cardiac arrest and the antics of the staff at St. Augustine's ER with only Jerry (the grumpy old man who died earlier in the same bed) for company? Real-life ER doc pens a darkly funny story of two men - one dead, the other comatose, whose discourse is lively, indeed. More

AJ Knauss - Room Four

Four Stars – A.J. writes a story that is cloaked in the reality of medicine through the surreal circumstances of a comical afterlife (at least an out of body event), situation. I enjoyed the many aspects of this story and teeter between a three- and four-star rating. I will say I might be a little hard in my review and accept that as my personal opinion. I knew this going into the book because I read the preview before my purchase. While I recommend this as a good read I felt the there were places that the story could have been more compelling. I feel A. J. has shown the capacity to make the unbelievable plausible and provide wit and humor. It will be interesting to see how her future offerings develop.
