About Adina Alexander

A third-generation South African, I immigrated to Israel aged 18, full of zeal, and married a Holocaust survivor from Germany (born Lutz Schneider). We lived for years on a farm where my husband and I raised our children, goats, and agricultural crops.
I started writing my first book six years ago, in between working and babysitting grandchildren. Still working and doing my own housework, I have 6 children, 16 grandchildren and a first great-grandchild.
I have has written two more books (unpublished as yet) and am working on the fourth. I love all animals but especially horses and cats. We have a cat, a dog and 30 chickens and live in Herzliya near Tel Aviv, Israel.

Review by: Sandra on Feb. 16, 2013 :
This is a grasping story of survival. The heroine is industrious, resourceful and determined. A turn of events changes the course of her life with no time to bemoan her fate. She meets head-on the most unbelievable challenges that life and nature have to offer and proves to be a true woman of valor. One can see one's own life reflected through hers.  This is story-telling at its best! I could not put the book down. I immediately went on to read the author's next book.
