About Cheryl Youngman

I'm an author and yogini. My first novel Future Imperfect has been some years in the making; beginning as a short story written at school (now that was a long time ago) it has developed into a 117,000 word novel. During that time, whilst continually tinkering and expanding the novel I have done a bit of travelling, raised a family, had various jobs, parachuted out of a plane at 12,000 ft, climbed Ben Nevis, gained a yoga teaching diploma, and attended several festivals.
I now live in Berkshire with my husband and 2 teenage girls.and am working on a sequel to Future Imperfect. I also have plans for a third book to complete the trilogy.

I'm not a sci-fi fan, but when Future Imperfect was recommended to me I thought I'd try something different from what I'd usually choose....I'm so glad I did!!
It has a bit of everything, including surprising twists and an original storyline which really makes you think!
I finished it in two days, and when I felt guilty about sitting down and reading for too long, I just stood up and read!
For years I'd been too busy to read although I love it - this book reminded me how brilliant fiction can be and genuinely kickstarted me into making time for reading every week. Can't wait for the sequel.

Have to be honest about this. I only purchased it because this book has been written by my friend. SO glad I did! It is a great read and I really could imagine it being played out as a film. Looking forward to the next one!
