This is a short sci-fi novel by Vasilieus Kalampakas who is also the author of Party of five.I have to say, unlike Party of five, this novel doesn't lack information. Argo is a beautifully knitted story with a fantastically written narrative. This story is about machines wanting to rule the humans. The central character is Philetheus who is captivated by the machines for loving and giving birth to his daughter as any sort of love and procreating by humans is forbidden by the machines. As a consequence, he loses his wife and daughter. Heraclea, the adorable and loving daughter of Philetheus and Penthaselia was very disturbing in the end.I was totally acquainted with Philetheus and i found his feelings really implausible.

This novel shook me in an unexpected way because what if mankind is truly ruled out by machines. The way in which Philetheus attempts to save his daughter was so touching.I was a bit confused as to whether or not his daughter is alive or not.I could imagine the petrified image of Philetheus in finding his daughter and at the same time dealing with the machines. Thanks to the author for giving a free copy of this astonishing novel. It was a great experience reading it.

Nice and pleasant reading!!! It intrigues you to think about what is hidden behind the words and to reconsider the issue of trust!!!

The good characteristic of this book is that the main character is not the Messiah that saves the world with his incredible powers and knowledge...he seeks for the truth!!!

The reader focus on the background of the story and not the character itself!!!

We have all read stories of man reaching for the stars, hopping to explore all there is and learn all he can from his space adventure. Usually he is armed with top-notch technology,a score of scientists, well trained soldiers and the awareness that he is actually going were no man has gone before.

What happens if that said man is not only left but actively kept clueless of all that? This short story touches this perspective. The main character is controlled, imprisoned, denied the truth about who he is,where he has come from and what the future has in store for him and in the end he looses everything as he struggles to fight through the dense layers of lies and manipulation by the same entities that are supposed to be protecting and guiding him in order to reveal the truth he so needs to finds.

It's a deep read that will leave you thinking about the truth and real intentions of those you should trust.
