I had just slipped one finger between my trembling thighs when the door rattled.
“Sorry!” I spluttered. “I was just finishing up!” I ran the water again and rinsed my hands as I took one last look in the mirror to assure myself that I looked composed. I threw back the deadbolt on the lavatory door and gasped as a figure bore down on me, neatly shutting the door behind himself as I staggered back in shock.
“Mr. Danton!” I gasped.
“Please, Miss Kirk, call me Robert. May I call you Lynda?” One of his arms wrapped around me and his fingers splayed over the small of my back. He pushed against me until I was backed up against the sink. The corner bit into my flesh and I began to tremble.
“Excellent. Thank you. You see, Lynda, you’re not the only one who’s observant. I saw your cheeks grow redder than could be explained by a splash of orange juice and champagne. I saw how you shifted in your seat and nibbled your beautiful little fingers.” He pulled me even closer to his body, taking my small hand in one of his big ones. I was powerless to resist him. I trembled at the gentle but implacable authority in his voice and touch. “I could smell your arousal, Lynda. I can smell it on you now, just a tiny hint. I bet if I felt your pulse, your heart would be racing...” As he spoke he lay a finger on my neck. My head tilted back automatically and my heart beat even faster as he felt the blood racing through my veins. “You see, I was right.”
“Mr... Mr. Danton, I...” I was stuttering. I closed my mouth firmly and stared at him with wide, shocked eyes.
“You are a very observant girl, but you don’t seem to be very good at trusting your instincts. You are more than intelligent enough to read my rather obvious signals. Why do you keep talking yourself out of it?” I gaped at him. How did he know exactly what had been going through my mind? I was shocked into being totally honest.
“Because I don’t understand what you want from me, or why you want it. We only just met and I’m no...” No what? Beauty? The kind of heiress you are used to dating? He lowered his head. I could smell a hint of peppermint on his breath and the sandalwood of his cologne.
“I think it is pretty clear what I want, isn’t it?” He put his mouth against the place where my neck meets my shoulder, nibbling for a moment and then biting my delicate skin hard enough to make me gasp. I shivered as another thrill of arousal tinged with fear jolted down my spine.
“I told you, I also enjoy people watching. I find you interesting, Miss Kirk, does it really matter why? I don’t see that it should as long as you also find me... interesting.”
