Not having read the first book, I was leary about reading the second and not being able to "get in" to the story. Honestly I would love to read the first only because it is the beginning. Even though this was not a stand alone novel I had no problem enjoying and following the story of 16 year old Meagan's adventures through time and historic events. If you like horses in any way then read this series. I not only enjoyed the story but liked the horse facts throught out. I can not wait to read the third part to the series. It was a nice way to spend an afternoon in the sun.

Second book I have read from this author in this series. A very interesting read with a lot of history in a time travel scenario. Great continuation from the first book. If you like history of horses, this is a very good book to read.
