Gazza's Lament

Rated 3.00/5 based on 1 reviews
A theatre short - very short at barely 2000 words, so don't expect War & Peace! Gazza is Head of Lighting at a small provincial theatre and just wants to be left alone to do his job, not drawn into touchy-feely socialising by a visiting director who forbids swearing. This short is to lure you into the Regent Theatre where you can meet the characters and feel at home in the setting. Come on in! More

About Bev Robitai

Bev Robitai currently works as a writer, book coach, and freelance photographer in Auckland, New Zealand. She writes mostly light crime fiction, sometimes based in the theatre and sometimes straying into post-apocalyptic sci-fi. Her novel Murder in the Second Row was launched in June 2010 in a historic theatre that was also used as the setting for Body on the Stage. A decade of backstage experience gave her the raw material for both books and a third is under way.

A stand-alone novel Eye for an Eye is the tale of a quest for justice, inspired by the actions of a real-life conman whose trail of victims made the author angry enough to imagine retribution - in some very inventive ways...

The Sunstrike novels are set in a post-apocalyptic present day world when a major solar storm has wiped out all electrical technology. They are optimistic survival adventures following normal people learning and adapting to difficult new circumstances.

Another funny, well crafted story from Bev, with interesting characters that are easy to relate to, and an engaging story line. Oh and did I mention that it was funny?
