Review by: Bunty McCabe on Oct. 16, 2012 :
Two worlds meet in Gran's old house, which is the portal between them. The modern world is stressful, busy and full of family tension. The magical world is also stressful and full of family tension, but the evil forces of magic are much more powerful than the heroine can handle and they follow her from one world to the next and back. The plot is ingenious, the characters are rich and the ending a surprise. There is humour throughout and lots of action.
