Death has been working non-stop since time began. He's exhausted, fed up and believes he deserves a break. Eve his personal assistant agrees to help, as long as she gets to go along as well. With both parties in agreement they plot to get the vacation they believe they have worked so had for and deserve.

God gets wind of their plan and calls them to his office. He reluctantly agrees to allow them a vacation - However certain rules and guidelines have to be adhered to. In order for Death and Eve to have their break away, they will have to recruit an Earth bound spirit as a conscript to take over Death's job while he's away.

God with the help of Satan conspire to make it increasingly difficult for Death to obtain his dream holiday. Much to Death and Eve's dismay.
