About Bert Barling

Bert Barling is a ham radio enthusiast, student of science, retired pumpkin farmer, and occasional writer. At one point in time, he was certified to give CPR and general first aid, but has since let the certification expire. It is unlikely that he will renew it. He also isn't actually a ham radio enthusiast, but still thinks they are "pretty darn neat."

Creates a rich and interesting world, definitely a lot of potential to be explored and developed further.

Good book, lots of promise. Formatting in .epub was very good, all same font, no spaces or gaps. The author has created an interesting steampunk-esk world, and the character are well done for the most part. It did feel a little rushed in places, but left me wanting more, will be getting #2 in the series. Would recommend this to anyone that likes atypical fantasy or steampunk. I'm looking forward to how the author explores some of the ideas.
