Two worlds collide when the corruption and crime of one of Mexico's most violent cartels spreads over the border. A sophomore college student has gone missing while on spring break in Mexico. Private Investigator Catherine James is investigating but when the evidence begins to point to a violent gang affiliated with the cartel, Catherine soon finds herself a target. She turns to the only man she can trust, an old flame named Matt, a Gulf War veteran with whom she shares a complicated past.

Meanwhile, Yesenia Flores is an adventurous young woman from Mexico who seeks a better life across the border in the U.S., but quickly becomes entangled in a web of lies designed to trap her into modern day slavery by the same crime association Catherine faces in Mexico. One of the best books I've read in a long time and I read 3 books every week for about 30 years.... wow, would love to see a sequel

This is a fantastic book. I'm almost through with it, and I started it about four hours ago. Although, there are a lot of typos. I wish I knew how to get ahold of the author, I'd love to proofread this for him.
