K. R. Rowe spent her childhood in Chattanooga, and later relocated to East Ridge, Tennessee. Her father was born and raised near Tellico Plains, in the heart of Tennessee’s tract of the Appalachian Mountains. With her mother’s South Carolina heritage, her southern roots run deep. From a very young age, her overpowering love of the mountains continues to draw her to them. When not tied to her desk, her free time with her family is often spent enjoying any activity that can take her far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and into the peace of the forest.
She started writing Amber and Blue in February 2012 and published the sixty one thousand word novel on October 3rd at Smashwords.com. On October 4th, she self published to Amazon as well. Currently she is working on Amber and Blue II-Victory, set to be complete in 2013.

The extremely high quality of writing in Amber and Blue is comparable to that of many experienced, traditionally-published authors.
Elaborate wording, precise attention to details, fully-developed characters and lovely, descriptive imagery enrich the reader's experience from the first word to the last.
Each chapter is filled with excitement that captures your imagination, builds tension and weaves a tale that automatically makes you sympathize with various characters, leaving you no choice but to take "sides".
Every enjoyable moment of this absorbing novel of romance, adventure, the human spirit and love, affords you a completely satisfying read. I hesitated to read the ending, and prolonged it as long as possible, knowing that when the story was over, I'd miss the characters I had come to love, hate, admire and/or laugh with, or at.
The action, drama and tension among the characters caused my heart to pound, many times, throughout this book. It has many delightful twists and turns, keeping you in suspense and wondering what will happen next. Who will be chosen? Who will be left behind?
You'll have to read this amazing novel to find out for yourself.

I was unable to stop reading this book. I love a book that has adventure and romance. Just when you thought there would be happiness there was a twist in the story. I live around the Chattanooga area, so I truly appreciated the scenes in the book and how well the author described the places that I have often visited. I also like how the author made it possible to truly visualize each scene like I was there. I fell in love with the Characters. This book is definitely a must read.
