It started as a simple backache and ended with my family standing around my bed deciding to remove me from the respirator. While in the coma, it was discovered that I had Salmonella poisoning which had spread to my spine. In addition, they found that I had necrotizing fasciitis inside my lower leg. I fought through all of this while still fighting my original non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma diagnosis. All the time I was slipping in and out of dreams that melded the real world with an incredible dream world.
