This heart pounding, nail-bitingly intense dramatic YA novella is original, inspired and astonishing!!
I am SO impressed by this fantastic Young Adult, fantasy novella that literally took my breath away and which left me unable to tear my eyes away from the pages. The inspired narrative, imaginative storyline and cleverly crafted plot is just outstanding and which certainly professes the accomplished creativity of the author. Full of electric tension and suspense, totally unexpected twists and turns I was sat on the edge of my seat throughout whilst being taken on the most thrilling rollercoaster of a ride. This book certainly surpassed and exceeded all expectations, for I had not expected such a substantial plot nor something so complex and captivating that is intricately woven and beautifully detailed – it really is a delight to behold!!
In life we do sometimes wish that we could turn back time and through Lilith one is shown an inner strength of character that is commendable, to the point of heroism, as I can envisage her as someone like a ‘Hermione Granger’ as a real role model. The message that lies underneath the fictional, fantasy storyline about the importance of selflessness, as one reflects on the important elements within life (including love) hits you and touches your heart with such clarity.
I was spellbound by this exciting YA story about good versus evil, Heaven and Hell and the ‘divine’. Truly breathtaking, this gripping page-turner is a must read for all fans of this genre and for those who enjoy YA with a sprinkling of romance that sets your pulse racing. I fell in love with the characters of Lilith and Gabriel and cannot enthuse enough about how this short story took over my mind; capturing my interest instantly within a few pages. Just beautiful! WOW.

I've read this novella in Dutch a few months ago, and I'm just gonna assume the story is the same in English :) I really liked the storyline and the writing style (and the translation from Dutch to English is done very well, too, by the way) and the only complaint I had was that the novella should have been a full novel. There certainly were enough interesting ideas to expand on the storyline, flesh out the characters a bit more, and make the romance less rushed. I hope this will be a full book one day and am curious to see what the next installment will be like. Great paranormal romance... and it's for free! (< we Dutch like freebies :)
