A writer of many prize winning short stories and poems, Shaun Allan has written for more years than he would perhaps care to remember. Having once run an online poetry and prose magazine, he has appeared on Sky television to debate, against a major literary agent, the pros and cons of internet publishing as opposed to the more traditional method. Many of his personal experiences and memories are woven into Sin’s point of view and sense of humour although he can’t, at this point, teleport.

I enjoyed this collection of well written short stories and poems thoroughly (and I am the first to admit I do not read poetry often).
Although all the stories were gripping, dark and held me immersed within each of them, I would like to list the ones I found especially wonderful: The Coming of the Storm, I am Death, The Last Dance, Candle, You, The House on the Moor, The Glass and lastly, but not least, Joy.
Each of the stories and poems in this book is positively dark, scary and eerie, yet there is something about each one of them that stirred something deep down inside of me, as if it touched something within me.
I would recommend this book to anyone.
